Does the quality of the school you go to matter if you doing a technical/directorial track. Anyone make any recommendations of some?

When you first start working, it always looks good. if you go to a less prestigious school you can always transfer to a better one. After you have established yourself though, it wont matter as much because your qualifications will be well known

I think it always matters. But, if technical theatre is your path, I should think you'd want to be sure that your instructors are all seasoned professionals, and, what's more, that they have maintained their professional contacts. In the technical theatre, it's essential that your instructors be up on the current technology, and that they know how that technology is being applied in the professional realm. Acting and directing are much more theoretical in nature.
