Looking for halloween costume ideas. I am 6 months pregnant and plus size. And by plus size i don't mean 30lbs overweight and wear a size 12... i normally wear a 22/24. Anyways though-- since im pregnant the "plus size" costumes at the stores are not fitting. I don't mind making something myself... and yeah. So part one of my question is any ideas? part two of my question... if i cant find anything better i may just make a "pagent" type gown for myself with some red satin and black tule stuff and make a sash that says MISS CONCEPTION.... so does anyone have ideas of anywehre online i could find instructions/a pattern that i could modify for a formal ballroom/pagent type gown?????? thanks in advance =) happy halloween!

p.s. because im plus size and only 6 months... i dont have ONE huge big belly yet.. and i also live in michigan-- so anything involving painting my belly for show are automatically out of the question =)

I dont want the old pumpkin or M&M or Sumo wrestler... i want something "girly" and something that most others wont be wearing... ie Miss Conception.. the Jelly Fish... etc etc.

just an idea. I'm probably not the only one, my husband calls me prego. kinda like the tomato sauce. that would be cute, dress like a jar of tomato sauce, and paint the word "prego" on the front.

I was thinking about going as a magic eight ball and handing out cards with the tradional "signs point to Yes" and "ask again later" etc. Last year at work, a woman bought an orange t-shirt and make it look like a pumpkin.

I read of an idea somewhere where you dress as a skeleton (black clothes w/ bones painted on) and paint a "baby skeleton" on your belly!

are you able to edit to characteristic what you prefer to pass as, or a wide-unfold theory? i could recommend Torrid because of the fact their sizes are truthfully the size they say they're. a good style of those that declare to be length 3x or 4x are truthfully purely 12-18s, so it makes a huge difference. Plus that's getting close to to Halloween sooooo you will no longer have a good style of time to deliver it decrease back if it does not in great condition. yet yeah, edit your Q and that i will hook you up with some web content!! otherwise seek for plus length dress underclothes because of the fact a good style of websites that sell plus costumes take place to be underclothes for plus women!

MISS CONCEPTION is a great idea!!

All the others that were given so far are jus lame

and I think your idea is better than mine

I was thinking you could jus put on a nun's outfit...kinda ironic and funny to be a pregnant nun

but i like your idea

so jus go with it

and hurry halloween is 11 days away(as is the birth of my 1st child..a boy)

Believe it or not, Martha Stewart made a Witch outfit out of black garbage bags on her show last year. It was truly spectacular! Here is a photo of it on Martha Stewart's website:

Hmmm... I'll put the links for the oens I found on here. An easy one, if you think no one would be offended is a pregnant nun, super easy too. lol Couldn't find much, jsut use your imagination.
