But mileage means miles per gallon. Is there a similar word for kilometers per gallon?

funny but in Canada, we still say mileage, though we calculate it in kilometres driven per litre of fuel - e.g. my car gets 9km/l.

I used to live in a metric system country earlier - I don't think they have an equivalent phrase there. Atleast, I've never heard one.
