Of teen and young adult soap operas, or any soap operas for that matter, like One Tree Hill.
I still can't understand the phenomenon that is American Idol.
If you like those shows, ok, but why? I'd see it as masochism to subject myself to such fictional melodrama among people that mean nothing to me. As for the characters being attractive, that's never been enough to hold my interest long.

I enjoy the first couple of episodes of American Idol because they show the truly horrible at singing, and the pain of others is entertainment for me, if only for a little while. Like watching gladiators, except with American Idol the pain in emotional, not physical.

I don't watch soaps. It's all the same thing anyhow....this person slept with that person who slept with that person....or this woman has a baby and the husband thinks the baby is his, but the baby is actually this other man's......and of course, people get killed a hundred times and magically reappears later on....how can this be interesting?
