Chicken pox and herpes and things like that take about 2 weeks. I know chicken pox do and they are a type of herpes. You need to ask your doctor. I'm not sure. Just remember chicken pox took 2 weeks. I don't know anything about herpes.

Although it may have periods of supression, you will have herpes for life, and can transmit to your partner(s) even if you do not currently experience any symptoms.
