I need a TE. Someone offered me Alex Smith for Deuce McAllister.

He needs a RB, I need a TE. I have Deuce, Edgerrin James, and Thomas Jones. James has been the lowest performing of the three.

James for Smith? Fair trade? Should I really be trading a RB for TE? There are no decent free agent TEs in my league.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

OK, fair enough. This is my 1st yr at FF and was pretty sure a decent RB is better to have than most TEs.

Oddly enough I'm undefeated so far in our 12 team league and this week I'm looking the weakest so I was considering jumping the gun to try to keep my record going. Honestly, I haven't been putting James in because the other 2 have been doing so much better.

I have LJ Smith who has been doing quite well but I was looking for a solid backup TE since every week it's iffy if he'll play.

So I'll just take a chill and not be too frantic about getting a backup TE. Thanks for the advice.

Do not trade a RB for a TE unless you can get Colston (if he is a WR/TE flex in your league), Heap or Gates. I would not trade a RB for a TE. Has Stevens been picked up in your league?? I was able to pick up Cooley this week. There's got to be someone who you can use who can score you a point or two. TEs usually don't score you that much anyway, unless you have one of the top ones.

Unless you're getting a top notch TE, I would never trade a RB for a TE. If you are looking for help in Week 7 then you should look elsewhere for TE help. James is your only running back playing this weekend. Smith has been OK the past two weeks, but I am sure you can stick any warm body into your TE slot, or just take the 0.

God no dude. A Stud RB should be worth more then just a half way decent TE.
A fair trade would be James for Gates and Dunn.
You dont trade a top RB for a decent TE. TE will only get you half the points of an RB. Reject the trade

HELL NO edgerrin james shouldn't go... That's not a good trade at all. James will bounce back soon and unless it's colston... i won't trade any of your RBs. TE are easy to come by especially on waiver. I'd trade Edgerrin james for like a steve jackson or someone more solid in RB. Edgerrin still has huge market value to people so don't undersell.

Do not trade McAllister. Alex Smith isn't a good TE either. Look for the TE on St. Louis.

if you trade Edge for Smith you've lost your mind look around and see if Stevens for Seattle is there or if Wiggins is there Alex Smith is wash as is every TE this year RB's are the bread and butter of FF don't trade especially since he's playing Oakland this week that would just screw you over badly even look and see if Klopenstein is available don't do that trade!

i'd not do it. Jackson has the skill to be the ultimate participant in fable this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, or perhaps contained in the league. Houshmandzadeh is likewise a unprecedented receiver. particular, Steve Smith is probable the ultimate huge receiver contained in the league. yet you already had Chad Johnson, arguably the 2d ultimate contained in the league. Brian Westbrook is damage companies, and Mike Furrey is fairly probable the #3 for the Lions now, as they drafted Calvin Johnson. in case you could, basically commerce Houshmandzadeh for yet another authentic wideout, because that's no longer a unprecedented concept to have 2 wideouts from a similar crew on your crew. And drop Vick. actually drop him. And to the guy someplace up there, Donovan has Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis to throw to. Brown had a straightforward breakout 3 hundred and sixty 5 days very last 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, and Curtis has shown he can play even as he crammed in for Bruce and Holt.

Be careful about trading away edge. With a resurgent offensive under a new offensive coordinator and Matt Liehnart. If they can move Matt around and allow him to pass effectively it will open up the middle for Edge. I think he will be a solid performer from here on out.
