Excellent concept. Neither is really listening to their constituents. Neither is really concerned with the welfare of the country. Both put the good of the party above the good of the nation. Neither is willing to work together with the other. Neither would ever do anything constructive if they thought there was a chance the other side could take credit.
There are major differences in pholosophy, but only minor ones in tactics.

I agree. Some have some basic stance differences, but for the most part they're both the same.
They leave the same aftertaste in your mouth, and if you deal with them on an empty stomach...you'll likely get sickened.
Both parties have become so far removed from the statement " A government from the people, and for the people" it's pathetic.
Morally, ethically, and largely on all aspects of simple human standards....they've long gone to the dust in those regards.
That's why, in time...our bipartisan nightmare of a political structure will die off. An Independant registry is the fastest growing section of voters in the nation....especially amongst the Generation X and younger crowds. People are awake to the bile both parties spew....and they want what's good for the people, not what's good for the government.

yeah there the same color.
but it's not like Pepsi is for poor people and coke is for stupid or really rich people.
even the richest in the country ( bill Gates) say it's not fare to give the rich such high tax breaks, because it puts the finical burdon on the working class. Republican policy allows the rich to get richer and the poor to remain poor.
i think a more accurate compression is soda to water
Republicans and democrats don't taste the same. and that's the difference

Judged on the same scale, I think there's far more difference between Pepsi and Coke that Rs and Ds. Our political system is such a mess primarily because there is so little to choose between. They claim to have different "values" and "platforms", but once elected they all fall into the same traps in the same flawed system.

Well the problem is that our country has had a battle going on inside it since its inception in 1776. It is the battle between Capitalism and Democracy. Democracy is rule of the people while Capitalism is the economic system of free trade where you can buy anything (including elections). Right now Democracy is losing.
Moussalini once said that Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the perfect merger of corporate and state power. That's why it makes me giggle everytime our president points his finger and says Islamofascist. I'm rubber you're glue.

I sure don't. I think it's like comparing oil and water. Democrats - stress Symbolism. Republicans stress Substance.
