I would like to have something for all baby gifts to go into. Im thinking of a box covered in white fabric and maybe decorated wth lace and that sort of thing. This of course doesnt sound very creative so Im desperately looking for help.

Im looking for any great and unique ideas to make my sisters baby shower look great. thx

Wicker laundry basket?

Or even the white plastic ones with a big pink or blue bow on them or one of each if she doesn't know what she's having. (She's about to be doing a LOT more laundry!!!)

Or if $$$'s not an issue maybe a bassinet? (maybe a used one if you have a gently used baby items store in your area.)

Or a toy box? She'll probably be needing one of those soon too (although the wicker basket works good for that too if you want to keep some toys in your family room or something.)

Good luck!

Okay, this is probably going to sound stupid, but hang with me for a minute....

Now, one thing I've encountered over the years (filled with dozens of wedding, baby showers): you have NO way of anticipating the TYPES of gifts that people are going to bring. A box or bassinet may be a cute idea.... until one person shows up with a crib, someone else with a car seat, and a third with some OTHER humongo gift that's never going to fit into your adorable little plan.

SOOOO, that having been said: what about a tree? Like, a small Christmas tree up on a small round cafe table, but decorated with baby items (like rattles, pacifiers, small bottles, pink, peach, yellow, blue, purple and/or green bows) and white lights. Gifts, both before and after opening could be placed around the foot of the tree, regardless of size. If you didn't want to use a small fake pine tree, you could opt for an artificial branch (with flowers, or you could pick artificial flowers of your choice and glue-gun them on) that's grounded in a nice terracotta pot... decorated the same way.

So, yes, I know it's bizarre, but hey... you said "unique"! ;)

No matter what you go with, I'm sure your sister will be incredibly grateful and encouraged.

Good luck!

Just get a card table and put a nice table cloth on top.
