It's totally cliche, but I knew he was the one for me. No one else would treat me the way he does.
And I don't think there is "one" thing or even "one" person.
There is a combination of qualities that we should look for, if we are only looking for one thing, we might be disappointed later in the marriage.
I also think that as far as being "one" person for another, I believe it is a decision not to be made lightly...but depending on life's circumstances, there could be several of the opposite sex that can have qualities that are desirable. but of course, once you are married, they are the only one!

My now husband asked me to go ring shopping after 1 month of dating. He proposed 3 months later. Mutiple things made me say yes - he is simply right for me and I'm right for him. We've been married 1 year now and together for 3.

I married my wife because she was the love of my life & pregnant. I wanted to promise to my friends, family and everyone that I would love, honor and obey "SOMETIMES" her till death do us part. I wanted there to be no question that I would take care of her in sickness and in health, through good times and bad. I knew with all my heart I would love her forsaking all others for the rest of my life.

He was (and still is after 13 years) everything I wanted. He was funny, musical, sensitive, had strong faith in God, cared about family, thought I was beautiful, respected my decision to remain pure until marriage (and had made the same committment), believed in me, gentle, thoughtful, tender, made my blood boil, made me laugh, held me when I cried. I'd marry him all over again.

He's my best friend, we can talk about anything - he's warm, considerate, loyal, caring, adores me and always has my best interest at heart. Despite some of our "disagreements" we always talk and never let the sun go down on our anger. He's my partner and I know he'd be down in the trenches with me. . a lot of people may say "I got your back" but I know he does.

The way I felt during and after our first kiss, which happened the day after I met him. I just knew he was "The One" after that kiss, and I knew I had to have him for the rest of my life.

We were friends first and knew each others faults. His honesty was what made me want to be with him.
