I always seem to bust my lip, for a few days it is just a bit bloody, then it pusses up for about a week and it makes it extremly difficult and pain ful to eat or drink, part of the problem may be my braces. It is always very gruesome to look at.i used an oral antiseptic to try and ease the pain but it doesnt help at all. PLEASE HELP!

i play soccer and basketball and usually the "busted" lip results from the ball hitting me somewhat hard in the lips

You say "bust" your lip - are they maybe too dry? Try keeping lots of Chapstick on your lips all the time, and try some wax on your braces to cover up any rough or pokey spots.
