If you think about it, there are natural remedies for about any kind of sickness, so why do we have to pop pills just so we have to use enormous amount of money to pay these pharmacuetical companies? People survived for centuries without taking a single pill and survivied, and yet now, when we get the slightest headache, start taking in pills whose side-effects are, you guessed it, headahce. Does anyone know a website that i can acces that shows natural remedies, instead of ones that just cover up the symptome of a problem, only to be causing a bigger problem later?

What are "natural" remedies and why are they superior to the "unnatural" remedies supplied by pharmaceutical companies? Chemicals are chemicals buddy, you can smoke marijuana which is "NATURAL" becuase its' from a plant but it is still just as polypotent (has multiple consequences, some that can be unintentional/unwanted) if not more than the "UNNATURAL" version ("marijuana" in pill form, marinol). Do you think that in the process of manufacturing that somehow these pills are made very detrimental to our health?
I agree to your argument to some extent; that is, that pharamcuetical companies are selling as many drugs to as many people as they can to make a profit. So these drugs are not good for everyone, and often worsen overall condition. But that is the problem of our customer-driven monetary society; money, politics, mass-comunication, globalization, and the resulting self-perscribed social insignificance all combine to form a very grim view of the society to come. People will do whatever they can to make as much money as they can, even if it does harm to humankind, because they consider the globe so very vast that their actions are meaningless. However, this occurance has a cumulative effect when observed from the perspective that this decision is being made by a huge number of people who, collectively, have a VERY large impact on our society.
So very depressing...

Well yes they survived for centuries without taking a single pill. The life expectancy was in the mid thirties for people. A lot of the natural remedies have been used to develop the current cure.

If the "natural remedies" worked as well as some people think, why was the typical lifespan so much shorter?? Many (not all) modern pharmaceuticals are based on natural products, but they wouldn't exist if they hadn't IMPROVED on the original. Despite what some people believe, there is NO "natural remedy" that is superior to modern medicine. The few that have any real efficacy have been studied to discover how and why they work, and superior alternatives have been made.

I, for the most part, do not believe in taking medicine. I have 2 kids, both of which were born completely natural without the aid of drugs. I am not a total "healthnut". I just simply don't like drugs and don't generally take them. Instead I use homeopathy and aromatherapy.

yes but most drugs like morphine are made form natural ingrediants. At the end of the day it matters what works for the sufferer and not just our ideas.
