Honey that's life. People will always hurt and disappoint you. And there's a lot of people out there that won't think twice about hurting you if it will help them. I have faith in people and I believe in people - but I also how to love people from a distance so that I'm not totally vulnerable if they should pull something - You have to protect yourself.

Life is full of ups and downs.

We have to take it in stride. Those of us that seem to get more betrayed than others, it's like we're wearing a big sign on our foreheads saying, pick me, betray me!!

People will let us down, and we in return will them too, may be not meaning to.

Cry awhile and go outside and throw something!
We hurt when we're betrayed, but we can't take back the pain.

Forgive. Easier said than done, but forgetting is impossible. Decide how important it is on what you were betrayed on. Let it go if small and the other person is truly sorry, if it is big just be careful in the future. Don't toss a friendship/relationship over a first time ordeal.

Just chalk it up to a learning experience. It sucks when people we think we knew and really cared for hurt us. But it's all part of life. Just decide whether it's worth it to have them in your life still, or if they were only part of it for a certain time. I can relate as someone (a looong time friend betrayed me). She apologized but I can't ever rekindle the same kind of relationship we once had. She showed me her true colors. We can be cordial with one another but that is as far as that will ever go again. Hope this helps.

It all depends in what way they let you down. If not being like what you had expected is letting you down, the question would be... who is letting who down? Before going about trying to change others let's make some changes of our own.

People are always going to betray each other or let each other down, its human nature. Could be malicious or not.
I generally expect the best from people so its bad for me when they do let me down. I tend to hold people to their word and promises.

I would say you need to forgive them. If someone betrays me I forgive them and move on with my life. It doesn't solve anything being upset and angry with someone who probably doesn't care how you feel. If you were betrayed by your significant other then that is a totally different thing. I say forgive them but move on with someone new. Good Luck!

Forgive them. But if you do decide to be friends with them, remember that they did it once, and they know that they can manipulate you so just make sure that you do not give them to much trust that they do it again! If you choose not to be there friend act as if they do not even exist.!

Just about everybody I know has let me down at one time or another. But it depends what they did. Betrayal by my partner would be inexcusable.
