Just keep a few nuts sprinkled around in the yard for now. They love nuts and fall is the time they go looking for it like crazy. For the long run you can consider planting maybe a peach tree. I have a peach tree in the back yard and they eat up all the peaches and run away with the nuts. Its a treat to watch them. Sometimes, time just flies watching them.
