Yep, go on make fun of Velcro. You and Gotti, birds of a feather flocking together. Velcro is sexy, smart, and sophisticated in certain areas of the country. I once listened to an all Velcro band play the Pennsylvania Polka. There is nothing that screams high class than a well dressed man in Bermuda shorts with suspenders, black nylon over the calf socks, and white Velcro sneakers. It is very easy to pick up chicks in an outfit like that, so I am told. So go on, make fun of Velcro but know real men are not afraid to use it.

Physics nerds began to wear them. Once the physics people get there hands on something its immediately out of style. But have no fear. The velcro shoe is making a big comeback for the spring 2007 season. I will personally lead the way with some Adidas Stan Smiths that are all white with three different shades of blue for the three velcro straps.

Yeah, what did happen to Velcro shoes? Funny, I hadn't thought about it until I read your question, but you don't see them anymore. Wonder if all the old shoes are just stuck together in a giant Velcro ball in some garbage dump somewhere.
Actually, you'll still find them in the toddler and children's shoe section.

snazzy if your old or a bama,they still got some shoes out with a pull over strap with some velcro like the nike shoe endorsed by Michael Vick but velcro played like pleats in pants.

I made my own pair of those. I had a hard time walking in them. It took me awhile before I realized that the velcro was supposed to be on the top of the shoe, not the bottom. I spent a lot of time standing in one place.

Go to Walmart in the mens shoe section. You can find some really cool "old man" retro looking tennis shoes with velcro. They usually have black, grey and navy. I have the grey ones and get tons of compliments, no one has any idea they are from walmart :)
