You bet it can. The compressors on those are heavy duty, Check to make sure the fan is running and that the coil in the back or bottom is clean. A simple thermostat, a compressor are your parts. If the compressor is getting weak, they sell a hardstart kit for it. GL and keep the water cool..

Most all of them can be fixed. Trying to find someone that works on them is the trick. It may also be cheaper to replace it than fix it.

it is possible however unless you have good referigration knowledge i would call a repair man. It is a good possibility that it will need the cooling system charged or even the motor replaced. not something a novice would want to attempt.

as some others have said it is cheaper to buy a new one
if one thing fails theres bound to be another

with labor rates as high as they are you can replace it cheaper
