Yes. Beauty and the Beast came on CBS on Friday nights at 8:00. Ron Perlman was Vincent and Linda Hamilton was Catherine. It was a wonderful romantic series. I have all but 2 episodes on tape and love it.

It wasn't a soap. It was a series. Not a comic, either. Great show. Wish they still showed it. Ron Perlman starred as the Beast and Linda Hamilton as the Beauty. I loved the story line during the last year where she got pregnant by him and had his child. She was murdered, the child kidnapped, but the beast got his child back.

Okay if you consider a show that showed ppl geniuely caring for each other and teaching and reading shakespeare and poetry a soap opera then what does that say about us as a society . I think that beauty and the beast taught us about people's perception of other people based on their looks. I think taught us compassion and how to love others moreso than ourselves. I think Vincent showed true love of Catherine . I think he showed the children in the tunnel the power of an education. He knew shakespears,keats and shelly . I think that was a very powerfull show. I think they need more of those kinds of shows on tv these days.
