Yes "you big white honky" and I also remember Jacko at the bas saying "I'll 'ave half"...

Was funny at the time

I remember it well. You had a white couple Eddie and Joan Booth, who get new black neighbours Bill and Barbie Reynolds (Bill played by Rudolf Walker who is Patrick Trueman in Eastenders.) I used to laugh at the 'nearly' fights where the two men would be squaring up for a fist fight, but no one would throw the first punch.

if you meant does anyone remember Love thy Neighbour , yes it starred Jack Smethurst as the White fella and Him thats married to Yolande in Eastenders

Yes in the 60's Jack Smethurst or Medhurst played the white one his wife played the mother of Denise in Eastenders recently and the black co-star was played by the one that plays Patrick in Eastenders. Does this help?

Great program, but would be regarded as very racist now. Although there was never any malice by the white guy! And the black guy always came out the winner!

Very good really funny. Wouldn't be allowed to show it these days. Another good one was" Never mind the quality feel the width" the Jewish and Irish tailors.
