I saw this several years ago in SI or TSN; I can't remember, but it is not a trick question. Larussa is only the 5th MLB manager to receive a law degree; all 4 others are in the Hall of Fame.

Actually, LaRussa is the 7th manager with a law degree, but it is true that 4 are in the HOF. The others: Monte Ward (New York Giants, Brooklyn and Providence, late 1800s), Hughie Jennings (Detroit, 1907-20, New York Giants, 1924), Miller Huggins (St. Louis Cardinals and New York Yankees, 1913-29), Muddy Ruel (St. Louis Browns, 1947), Jack Hendricks (St. Louis Cardinals, 1918, Cincinnati, 1924-29) and Branch Rickey (St. Louis Browns, 1913-15, St. Louis Cardinals, 1919-25). Ruel and Hendricks are the non-HOFers.

Don't know who were. I am guessing Yogi Berra and Don Zimmer were not law school grads.
