I am English, and i love everything about England.
My hubby is from the North East of England, and what a lovely place that is.
My in-laws live just outside a beautiful town called Morpeth.
The people from 'up north' are warm and friendly, and their are no 'air and grace's' with them.

I travel a lot to other country's ..and constantly in touch with
people from different nations and religions...
It is a pity that the word English doesn't go down to well.
and it's a shame that the word English is ruing it for the British nation..
there is no English nation.. never was and never will be..
give this idea up it's( BRITISH NATION)
And for the north east ..they love it it's got history and
the people are very friendly ..and I agree fully

What about the North East? Well you only have to read the response from "budding author".It should tell you all you need to know. THAT attitude explains why there is a North/South divide.
Enough said.

I am not English myself, but I've been there countless times and I greatly admire many things about your country and culture. Your humour, literature and television (i.e. BBC) is superior to most. I love your countryside and some of your cities.
However, why is it that English men come to the Netherlands on their stupid stag do's and misbehave themselves like that? They do things here that they would never do at home. Why can't they shout, puke, fart, belch, piss and abuse others in their own country? This is starting to give the English a very bad name over here...

Honestly, people have different views as to the English nation. Some look at it as a beautiful country whilst others believe the opposite. So whatever people's views are, I think England is endowed with beautiful scenery coupled with beautiful people and a prosperous economy.
