Use bleach and a few drops of Mrs. Stewart's Bluing - be sure and dilute the bluing with water first. Also there are other whitening agents out there if the bluing and bleach don't work - different powerdered products - but they smell pretty awful so re-wash after use. And then add bluing. Bluing makes whites look white - it's an optical thing.

If they're dingy not yellow a little bleach will work, but if they are yellowish, you may have iron in your water. If you do bleach will turn them yellow or orange. In that case use Iron Out in hot water to turn them white aging, I use it all the time, we have an iron problem every three months or so I also use it when bleach doesn't get my things white.

DO NOT MIX BLEACH AND IRON OUT EVER.

Other then that follow the directions and you shouldn't have any problem.

Use a little bleach in the wash. To keep them bright do only whites together. Never add a colour.

Best technique is to add bleach AND water softener to your wash. You can find water softener in the laundry isle at the grocery store. It works MUCH better than bleach alone.
