The unions are still running this country, but I bet Wall-Mart is not having any problems in Mexico and China where people are happy to have jobs. The US has only been the major power country since the end of WW 2. These liberals that are trying to take over our country where our people are FAT AND LAZY will be the beginning of the end for us.

Walk into a Walmart and try to find a product made in America. There are none meanwhile the Walton family makes up 5 of the 10 richest people in the world.theyre worth about 15 or 20 billion apiece. But everything they sell is made overseas by abused workers many of them children who accept 25cents an hour no bathroom breaks and dangerous working conditions.

Also when a Walmart comes to your town it drives all small businesses out of business. Nobody can compete with their buying power so instead of friends and neighbors owning something and people making a good living and employing people and treating them well and decently they have to go to Walmart and work for 8 bucks an hour no health care and no benefits

Also Walmart forces large American manufacturing out of the country like Levi jeans and Schwinn bikes. Since Walmart is such a giant customer and buy such volume they dictate what they pay to these companys forcing them to overseas factories that employ slave labor
last but not least by getting all their products from overseas they get to ignore EPA rules. Walmart sells plywood that has 100 times the amount of formayldehide in it then is permitted to be sold in europe China and Japan. Ever see a guy with hand tremors from working with pressure treated wood? It aint pretty So they cant sell these toxic products overseas in Communist countries but Walmart sells it here
Finally Americans are the best workers in the world, ever see a mexican or Chinese guy fly in space or land on the moon?
How bout the Soldiers in our armed forces and the weapons they use!!!!!! Theyre all made in the USA

Not true...Wal-mart just happens to be the largest retail giant in the world and they treat their employees horribly. They need a watch group as corporations that big can do just about anything they want and they do. By using Wal-mart any attention given and changes made will trickle down to all offenders. It's not a bad thing. If they are honest they have nothing to be concerned about, however their NOT.

Democrats aren't using WalMart as a political tool. It is true, however, that many of the policies WalMart embraces certainly go against the grain of any good liberal. For example:

WalMart doesn't have "problems" in Mexico or China where people are "happy to have jobs" because WalMart treats those employees like virtual slaves. The pay is about a dollar a day; the hours are long; and the working conditions are abysmal.
Most laborers aren't allowed to go to the bathroom; if they don't come to work because they're ill, they are automatically fired.

The "FAT AND LAZY" in the United States are generally those evil conservatives who browbeat employees and suppliers into submission (for example, WalMart browbeats its suppiers into selling at prices so low it often forces the suppliers into involuntary bankruptcy).

Check out any WalMart store and you'll find FEW - if any - products that are manufactured in the U.S.A. by laborers who are paid an adequate wage for their work. But, we Americans continue to get "low prices - everyday" on all kinds of plastic junk we don't need just because WalMart cons us into believing that their prices are the very best in town (closer inspection would reveal that, except for a few hundred loss leaders, that's not true).

When WalMart comes to town, it brow beats municipal leaders into giving them tax breaks and special incentives, claiming it will create jobs. In fact, it only creates mostly part-time minimum wage jobs while it puts many local businesses out of business.
Furthermore, WalMart isn't even a good corporate citizen. Very few of the WalMart store managers are allowed to spend $100 a year (or less) for membership in the local Chamber of Commerce. Very few WalMarts support local service clubs such as Kiwanis, Lions, or Rotary. Very few WalMarts do anything to benefit the community in which they reap their profits.

Finally, look at the Forbes' magazine list of the "top ten" richest people in the world. At least four of them - every year - are relatives of the late Sam Walton, WalMart's founder. So don't tell me that WalMart sells you all that crap and doesn't make any money. Don't tell me they can't afford to pay their workers better wages, provide them better benefits, and contribute more to the communities where they have their super stores. It's all nothing more than a band of Bentonville bastards whose avarice and thievery make them all nothing more than sub-human. -RKO-

Why are your repubs using Iraq as a political tool? It is being used to distract citizens from issues like a terrible educational system, poor healthcare, lack of interest by w to protect California's border with Mexico ( because we are a blue state ), and of course, global warming. I'm with Jesi, vote 'em all out and start with a clean slate, and if they don't, won't or can't effect change for the MAJORITY of the population, vote them out to. I think a vote for Independent is a smart choice. Blue and Red are only interested in maintaining the status quo.

Walmart has several issues regarding employees and the ways in which they do business. The better question is why do they think they can move into a neighborhood and put all of the other businesses in town, out of business?

Someone has to hold them accountable, and the Pubs aren'd doing it.

The better question is why the Republican Party mailed out letters to 14,000 registered Hispanic voters in Orange County, CA telling them they would face possible deportation or jail time if they voted in the upcoming election.

Registered, legal, American citizens being threatened with jail time for voting.
