When I sign out of Yahoo or Answers I have to put in my username and password every time to sign in again, even if I tick the box that says remember my username. How can I get it to keep my username?

I understand your frustration...........with so many passwords and sites to visit that require them........you have to have a way to manage them!!!

That is why for as long as it has been avaliable I have used Foxfire as a browser! If you haven't at least tried this puppy you you are missing out as it does so much more...we are talking ~instant gratification here!~

Okay, here's the scoop... Latest version is here: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

Also, you can clear your password as well, but why?

You will LOVE (beside one master password) tabbed Browsing and also Tabbed Bookmarks, Foxcast (weather)...just a bunch of great stuff. Once installed you can go to your bookmarks and get back to the Foxfire sites as they are located conveniently near the top.

Have fun! BooYa!

What browser do you use? Changing setting is slightly different depending on the browser you use (IE, Firefox, Chrome...) Essentially, you need to go into your browser's options. Click tools, then go to options. The way to get there may vary depending on browser. Once you're there, there should be a tab devoted to security or privacy. Somewhere in there should be a place for remembering passwords. You can clear them, make the computer stop remembering them, and even add exceptions. If you tell me which browser you use I can offer a step by step directions

........... a slightly different way of getting there, as an answer for for you. Get a program that keeps all your passwords in a database of password safe. That way it works for the ones without a tickbox too.

this is the one I use, and I have soooooooooooooooo many to remember, it just works well!

You've probably disabled cookies on your browser. It needs a cookie to remember your password.

If you delete your cookies, it will go. Keep your cookies if you like, but that folder can become full of unwanted spyware cookies. Best to delete them and type your details on each time.
