If you feel lost and sad sometimes, what are some good things to do to get out of it? serious answers only please!

Strenuous physical activity will help boost your mood, but sometimes it is hard to get motivated to exercise when you are depressed. When I am really down, I like to rearrange my furniture. This gets the blood pumping, makes you feel like you've accomplished something, and gives your living space a fresh/changed look.

Sometimes it's chemical and you can't get yourself out of it. If this happens often or for long periods of time, see a doctor. There is help available. If not, try getting out of doors for some fresh air. Take a walk, get interested in a hobbie, club, etc. Talk to someone about it.

I think you just have to ride it out. Playing an istrument or creating something helps you channel it and gives you something to put it intot, but I don't think it alleviates it. Also, try changing an aspect of your personality that might be contributing to your mood, for example if your a loner seek out friends or become more social.
