When i worked in an electronics store, I had a customer call the police on me because I refused to return a computer that he bought. He bought a new computer, and then tried to return his old one in the new box. Yes he was an idiot. I said no and sent him away. Realizing that his master plan was foiled he came back about 30 min later and tried to return the new computer. I refused, he ranted and raved.. I ignored him. Finally he got so frustrated he called the police. I was really surprised the police even bothered to show up. It was both sad and hilarious at the same time. I got in some hot water over that one, even though I knew I did the right thing. And yes they took the computer back, but only after my shift was over.

I used to work as a receptionist and the girl that sat behind me was my back-up for answering the phones. One of our other co-workers (who was not well-liked by the other employees), would tell people (that had called for her) that we weren't giving her phone messages to her (if it was someone she didn't want to return a call to). This made us look bad, even though we really were doing our jobs.
