I regret getting mine, when I can afford to I am having it removed, for me it was a bad choice...for others maybe not. I have seen some very tasteful tats. Part of it depends on the art work another depends on how it looks on the person... some people just don't look right with tattoos. Overall it is a personal choice and who am I to judge?

Well this is a personal question. I personally feel that they are disfiguring. I do not find them tasteful at all. I am young still and would never ever get one. I also have many guy friends and my husband and it is very interesting getting their POV on them. Most of them are single and go to clubs and bars. Some are the male whore types, hot but just want one thing. Anyway, they all call them 'Tramp Stamps'. It is just another way to label someone. They do not see them as sexy, yet trashy. And a 25 year old girl I work with is paying big buck to have hers removed through laser procedures. Hind site she regrets doing it now. There is also a friend of mine that has one on her ankle and it looks retarded. When she went on an interview all dressed up and had pantyhose on, there was this tacky tattoo showing, just looks trashy. I am NOT saying that girls or guys that get them Are trashy, but it does not look appealing in the least.

A person has a tattoo to express a particular sentiment; the problem is that it is permanent. So if you change your mind later, it's hard to erase.
Also, I don't think they improve the looks of the body. Now maybe that's because I grew up in the 1960s when the only people who had tattoos were military persons or drug addicts.

Its a matter of personal taste, ive got 4 an got them pretty young, the first when i was 14 and the rest not long after and i regret them all, i thought they were cool at the time but i now find them unattractive! I dont know how old you are, if your mature enough and can accept youll have them for the rest of your life and still think you want them go for it, but if your like i was and fairly immature id definatly say wait, dont mean to sound patronising but i dont no how old you are xx

I love them! (Most of the time!). I have several (4 to be exact), and all are gorgeous, well-thought out, and meaningful. No one knows I have them unless I want them to know. What's the point of that you might ask? Well, I got each of them at a special time in my life and they mean a lot to me. I certainly show them when I want, just not at work, my patients might not understand! People need to think them through, and not just get them for the sake of having them, and put some thought into what you get....a huge dragon on your neck at age 19 might be cool! But, when you go get a job in an office in a couple of years....well, your potential employer just might not think it's all that great! My husband love mine, and I love his! I don't regret them at all, and am planning another! BTW, I got my first at age 34 and I'm now 39.....

I personally like the idea of tattoo's, I have two and will be getting more. I think you need to get tattoo'ed for the right reasons though, I mean don't go out and get some generic cartoon character, or skull with a snake winding through it, you need to choose something personal that has some meaning to it. Afterall you'll be stuck with it for the rest of your life.
Adorning ones body with art, only enhances ones beauty in my eyes.

There's nothing I want on me that badly. My daughter got her first tattoo at 16 and hid it from us for a year. Now she has four. I think some girls look very trashy, don't know why some do and some don't.
