Azaleas do not like full sun. They're really picky about wet feet so make sure you have no clay under them and good rocky ventilation.

azaleas do great in partialy shaded areas. They don't like to be near cement so don't put them against your house. They grow really wel under oak trees.
Azaleas are also good at taking care of themselves, very low maintenence. water occasionaly fertilize every now and then and you have the perfect plant for the south.
My grandparents property is completely surrounded by azaleas and they bloom in February, it is the most beautiful place around during that time.
You are going to enjoy them.

Azaeas do fine in partial shade - they like a ph below 6.5
very little root disturbance once planted, kept moist with a good thick mulch layer they'll do just fine!
