The nurse set Harvey's Bell, book and candle by The rear window of the Shenandoah cottage. As she adjusted the sheets around his weary frame, she gently teased him about his love for books and knowledge, saying that one day he would be remembered as The man who knew too much. Harvey didn't mind, though - "It's a Wonderful Life, knowing I've got people who care about me, and whom I love and care about in return. That's all that matters." He murmured, as he settled down to yet another restful slumber.

The man who knew too much was going to see his old friend Harvey. As he was going down the highway he looked out the rear window and saw the beautiful Shenandoah mountains. Then he thought its a wonderful life that I have. All of a sudden something hit the window of his car, it was a package and inside was a bell, book and candle. He wondered where it came from. then he looked up and there was Harvey trying to hitch a ride.

Harvey Shenandoah was standing at the rear window of his apartment. He was thinking about how nice the day was and it's a wonderful life when all of a sudden he heard a crash. What was it? The bell, book and candle fell from the bookshelf. As he leaned toward the wall he heard passionate moaning and groaning from his neighbors apartment. Harvey thought for a moment and said under his breath, I am the man who knew too much about his neighbors love life.

Harvey Fierstein needed a break from his hectic life in show business and craved a cool breath of mountain air. In his early days he had been a stand-up comic working the Borscht Belt and was a man who knew too much about the Adirondacks, so he elected to visit the Shenandoahas. Driving up a winding mountain road at a fair clip, Harvey zipped past a guy wearing a neon blue spandex outfit, riding a racing bike up the hill. Intrigued, Harvey screeched to a stop and looked out the rear window to get a better view. The handsome, well-built racer barely slowed as he pedaled strongly uphill, but - bringgg, bringgg - he saluted the star with his bike bell as he booked past, his can(dle) swinging back and forth. Harvey turned back around in his seat and smiled. He was really looking forward to starting his vacation now - there was only one lodge at the top of the mountain, that’s where he had a reservation, and that was the name emblazoned on the back of the hunky guy’s spandex suit. Harvey shook his head, amazed at his luck. “It's a wonderful life!” he said.

The back bedroom of Harvey's old Victorian mansion was dim. The storm had knocked out the power. Harvey gazed out the rear window, thinking of the woman he lost. His heart ached when he thought of her, far away in Shenandoah, hiking through the mountains trying to find herself. He hadn't heard from her in months, and then it was merely a postcard with four simple words: "It's a wonderful life." He knew she wasn't coming back, so he had been writing in his journal every day, trying to relieve his overwhelming emotions. There in the dark, Harvey decided he needed to write, and that he also wanted to call the maid to bring him a snack. Harvey crossed the room to get his bell, book, and candle.
