Here's something I came up with searching for it:
"Trick or treat" would be signed "TRICK CANDY."
Conceptually there is no need for an "or." Hearing children do not literally mean it as a choice. They are making a statement that gets them candy. If they literally meant give me candy or I'll tip over your outhouse then I could see a need for the "or" concept. If the "or" concept is used at all in this "statement" it would be a very, very small body shift.

But since your kid is small, the body shift would probably just be confusing. So the signs "trick treat" would be used.

This 'candy' sign is different than the one I learned, but I would trust this one more!
You could also have a little 3x5 card with "trick or treat" written on it, but that probably wouldn't be as fun :)

Alternatively, if your child is young, you could use the signs "happy halloween", since those signs are simpler.

A slow blink is a sign of friend ship between cats so if you are trying to show that you are friendly get down at his level and slowly blink if he returns the blink then that means he is calm. Also I would like to point out that cats don't really understand human language in the first place so of course showing it human sign language would just scare it. Just be gentle and try to not make any fist or fast movements near it but their really is no such thing as cat sign language. The do communicate with body language though, like if they are swishing their tail back and forth that means they are not happy. If they roll over on their backs or are closing their eyes when you pet him then that means he is enjoying it.
