Mr Beltran

The Mets paid Beltran 14 million dollars to look at a call strike three. Hell, I would have done that for half the money!!! Sad!!! With two strikes you have to guard the plate. Anything close, you have to swing.

There is no way I would go down looking (Beltran) for the last out. Also, I don't see why Willie did not bunt the runners over with no outs instead of bringing up Floyd. But I guess I would besinging a different tune, if he would have gotten a hit.

How can Floyd and Beltran strike out looking? You don't win by watching the ball go over the plate.

I was sure that the Mets were going to win. Bases loaded with Beltran batting - I was very confident (perhaps too confident...). I still can't believe that he struck out...

I thought somebody might hit it out, or at least Beltran would have put his bat on the ball and tied it. Man that was awesome baseball! If you love baseball, and your chest wasn't thumping during that ninth inning, check your pulse because you might be dead.

I didn't think they had but I sure thought they had a chance after getting 2 on with Floyd due up. If not the win I figured there was a good chance at going to extras.

Well, no. Most Mets fans thought they had a chance but the players didn't come through. Ah well......let's not cry over spilled milk. What's done is done. There's no point lamentin' 'bout it. Why not look ahead, instead?

I really thought the Mets had this game taken care of. What a classic of a game 7!

Choke!!! I am a huge Cards fan and yes I thought the Mets had a great chance of taking it all. Great series. Who are you for: Cards or Tigers?
