Without obtaining a lawyer does anyone know a cost effective way to be awarded visitation with a grandchild?

There's nothing you can do if the parents are agaisnt you seeing their child.

Depending on what you live in.....you can go to the courts and file a motion to get visitation. Many states now have "Grandparents Rights". I would search this out on the web and arm yourself with as much information as possible!!

We just won extra time for my Husbands parents. They will get a full week in the summer without ANY interruptions from the EX.

We just rolled this in with a motion we were it the process of presenting. The Judge ruled in our favor.

Well from my experience get one of the parents to want to give you the rights to the child and then take the other to court. Tell him you will drop his child support give him visitation whatever you want and it may work out for you. This happened to my husband but we were in a bad situation and we wouldn't have given up the child if we weren't.
