I can't believe you asked that? Are you insinuating that we are a group of spineless inquisitors with burning interrogatories going unfulfilled? lol
I notice a lot of people are not civil or respectful. Sometimes I bite my tongue or tone down a joke or idea that can be taken the wrong way. Sometimes I don't when I should. Honesty like everything else has to be dealt out in moderation.
I often realize at the last second that maybe the asker is a 12 year old. That makes me rethink a lot of my comments.

I would love to be able to ask questions that are controversial, and I would love to be able to express myself fully (which would still be civil and respectful, but toeing the line of risque sometimes) but in such an open forum as Answers I feel that is not always possible. Sometimes it isn't even possible to ask a question that I do not think of as contrversial because of course, someone will object to it. Most people judge whether they realize they are doing it or not, and call me paranoid, a softie, emo, whatever you want to, people have gotten a certain image of me that I am reluctant to give up at times.

Gee, so what you're saying is, your church makes minorities feel uncomfortable, so you feel a mosque will make a visiting white person uncomfortable? Chances are you wouldn't have been the only white person there. Muslims come in all colors, as do Christians. BTW, would you feel out of place in a mostly black Baptist Church? BTW, Nation of Islam and traditional Islam are very different things. So going to a traditional mosque isn't going to give you much background on a UFO cult that is listed by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate group.

I don't ask that many questions, only a couple in fact, but I do hesitate to answer once in awhile because of the controversial nature of a given question. It isn't that I wouldn't like to say something because I would, but there seems to be a lack of tolerance that sometimes keeps me from expressing my opinion.

Absolutely. As I have seen you comment, people will assume that is the type of person you are. All you're trying to do is get a feel for what others may think.
