I had been with my Ex for about 9 yrs. off and on. However we started having some issues, and it became a very abusive relationship. I have decided to move on, and now he tries to make up his own rules for visitation. He is basically trying to use my son to get to me. For example, I was supposed to get my son last Tues. Up until my Ex found out that I may be starting a new relationship, he has been meeting half-way as far as transportation goes. He lives about 45 mins. away. Now, all of a sudden, for the last three Tues. visits, he has had an axcuse why he can't meet me. Last Tues. I offered to provide transportation both ways because his Mom has become very ill with cancer. When I called his cellphone, his sister answered. She said that my Ex was still at work, she had my son, and that I just shouldn't bother with Tues. because they were having a problem transporting. Then when I told her that I was coming to get my son and she threatened to press charges on me for tresspas

im sure you have visitation rights to have your son, look on your divorce papers, and if he doesnt follow threw you can get him for contempt of court......i hate people like that! They are only hurting the poor little kid.....Look for the number to an Atorney General in your state, you can get legal aid.....good luck girl.

As long as you have a divorce decree giving you full custody as resident parent, then you have the law on your side and theres not a damn thing he can say or do otherwise. If you have to go get your son from his sister and she threatens you, just ask the police to meet you there because she has nl legal ties to your son and is basically holding him hostage. If youe ex wants to play games, then theres nothing legally that says you have to meet him half way or even accommadate him on his visitation days other than the goodness of your heart. You have the courts paperwork giving you full custody rights so dont be afraid to use it. If your ex doesnt like it,then let himtake you back to court for visitation remodification rights if he thinks he has a case to stand on and I dont see one here, in fact your son is supposed to be with his dad on his visitation days, not his aunt or anyone else unless its an extreme emergency and having to stay late at work isnt one of them. Also your ex no longer has nothing to do with your private life anymore so what you do should have no impact upon him and his son and shouldnt be using him as a pawn no more than should you if its the other way around. Good luck

That is the way a lot of men act when they take the child, always a excuse. Get a Atty. to draw up papers for you visitation rights and make your ex stick to it. It is a shame that they use little children trying to hurt the other party. They'll tell you what a bad person you are, don't feed the child the healthy food any excuse to hurt you.

Get a lawyer and have everything written and signed by a judge. Or call the police for kidnapping if he does not return your son when he was suppose to. Good Luck!

Do you have a court order stating when your visitation's are supposed to be? If you do, he can't legally keep you from seeing your son. I hate to say it, but it sounds like you need to go to court. Best wishes!

You need to take him to family court and set up real visitation rules. That way he will be in violation if he doesn't let you see your son.
Why does he have your son fulltime?
