After 10 years in NYC I am moving back home to the burbs of Philadelphia.
I'm partly moving home because I'm sick of living in a small condo and want space for myself and my 2 dogs.
But Im also moving home because my heart was majorly broken.
Shouldn't I be feeling completely happy to be moving home ?
Why do I feel like I'm going to faint or throw up each time I move forward ?
What's wrong with me ? I've already siged a contract to buy a nice house back home and can't back out anymore.

It's natural to feel bad about leaving the place that you've lived for ten years. When you get back to Philadelphia hang out with some of the people that you knew before you moved away, and make new friends. You're dogs will probably also make it easier, because they'll be with you no matter where you are. Make new friends when you move also, but keep in close contact with those you've left behind. You're moving away from a place you've known for a long time. There is nothing wrong at you, you don't have to feel happy about it. But you can get through it, and I think that, in the long run, you will be happier.
Good luck!

Moving is scary to begin with, espically long distances.
Add to the fact that you've lived in NYC for a long time, and that your heart was broken.
After a while your new home will feel like home again.

well a backyard is always a plus for dogs, they will love it. New York has parks and stuff to walk them in. Part of me wants to say don't run away from your problems, look at it as running toward a goal, Owning your own house..whatever.

Hope this helps.

moving is a major change---even if it is back to your hometown....just look at it as an "adventure" and everything will be fine.....

I moved from Chicago to Texas (small town) and I made it an adventure for my kids and me and we just loved it----now that was a change---to go from 60 below with the wind chill to 114 during the summer and we all adapted just fine.

Again, i made it an adventure so it was fun for all

sometimes change is good. you can't expect yourself to get over bad times in one day. you're allowed to feel sad. just tell yourself you deserve better. meet more people. not necessarily to get with but to just understand how people are. you can do it. and your dogs will help you through it all.
