It all depends upon the content of your show. You need to be a bit more specific. The right music can really make or break the mood.

U2 has some good songs. I hear them a lot in movies. They have a range of happy, sad, angry, celebratory songs.

Ooh, photostories are such a brilliant excuse to use sappy, cheesy, guilty-pleasure tunes, I think. "Remember When" by Alan Jackson is a good one for pictures from weddings or for anniversaries or something like that. "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong will leave not a dry eye in the room if you play it with some pics of little kids or old people in it. "Good Riddance" by Green Day is great for graduation/senior year photos. I think "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder would be awesome if there are any pictures with a baby girl in it. "Mr. Blue Sky" by ELO is just a fun, pop-py song for any photos that have no real backstory and are just of some people goofing around together. Israel K'amikowiwo'le's version of "Over The Rainbow" is so awesome for nostalgic photos or photos of weddings. "Glory Days" is also good for high-school nostalgia pictures, but the words are sort of ironic because Springsteen is talking about a guy who never got over his high school days. The feather song from Forrest Gump (the instrumental one) is good if you just need a lyric-free interlude. Also, I've said it before and I'll say it again, "New Slang" by the Shins works with anything, anytime, anywhere.
