Hey folks, conspiracy theory folks, no matter how much nifo you choose to believe is PROOF, there is at least one glaring proof that it wasn't an 'inside job'. Try going to the homes of the victims(don't really do it) and tell their loved ones that they were not talking to their mom, dad, brother, sister, friend etc. etc. when they called FROM THE PLANES. Describing the terrorists and the erratic changes in flight patterns as they approached their targets. If any of you are stupid enough to do this, I suggest bringing medical aid with you, because I think you're gonna need it.

Dd - I hope you remember your statement every time our gov't doesn't release ALL info to YOU. And your 'short' statement reveals LOADS about your thought and reasoning process. I'm not qualified to handle that type of 'rationalization'. It was difficult to type 'rationalization' in context with your way of thinking.

Ignorance. Some people feel the need to blame Bush for everything. As for proof, you saw that on 9/11 on your TV set. It's funny how people claim that Bush is ignorant yet they say he was "smart enough" to orchestrate this catastrophe. They are just hypocrites.

OK - well - the key to your question is the 3rd word in the second sentence - "some". Please be fully aware that the VAST majority of Americans (including those who you might otherwise classify as left-wing) do NOT believe that 9/11 was a conspiracy (or - at the very least - not an American conspiracy as in an "inside job"). The people who believe 9/11 was a conspiracy are a very, very, very slim minority of people. Before I get to the rest of your question, I just want to make sure that we are all well aware of this.

The reason some people think 9/11 was a conspiracy is because a lot of very legitimate questions have been raised that have not been answered - and these are questions not just raised by kooks - but by professional researchers in various fields. When there's ANY situation - where "officials" seem to avoid legitimate questions that are answerable - it will raise doubts.

Bush didn't help the situation by fighting tooth & nail against the formation of the 9/11 Commission. That alone raises a lot of questions.

You don't want website referrals - so I won't give you one, but a simple internet search (Wikipedia is a good source of info) will reveal many of the theories - some are obviously ridiculous - but others aren't as ridiculous - and it's not say that the conspiracies are true.....simply that they present questions that have not yet been answered.

For the record - no - I don't believe 9/11 was a conspiracy. But in fairness....how much can I, as an ordinary average Joe citizen, REALLY know about the inner & secretive nature of our government - or other governments or organizations?

To answer your question succinctly: Because they have too much time on their hands and are prone to illogical paranoia. To believe such a thing they have to suspend logic entirely. Here's some examples of what they need to believe to make this fly in their heads:
1) All of the people in NYC who watched that plane fly into the second tower or saw the plane hit the Pentagon were either making it up or fell victim to a massive David Copperfield-type magic trick.
2) All of the people who died in the planes that crashed never really existed and the families claiming victims are in on the conspiracy. Great actors every one of them. Of course they had to brainwash the children to believe they had a Dad or Mom that never existed as well. What an accomplishment.
3) The FAA employees and the air traffic controllers are all cooperating to say flights disappeared off their screens. Wow what a tight-knit and tight-lipped bunch huh?
4) The phone calls made from the highjacked flights by passengers never really happened, everyone who received one was briefed ahead of time what to say when asked. The cell phone records were also faked, with the cooperation of every cell phone company in the United States.

Sorry, you asked for no long diatribes so I'll stop here.

It's quite simple really.

This administration (and the seven before it) have commited so many vile, under handed, and dispicable acts against the american people that the ideal that our government would have something to do with 9/11 is actually believable. Whether they did or not is of no concern. Simply the fact that a majority of the people in this country believe our government had something to do with this should tell you something about who we have let run our country.

Do you think that Woodrow Wilson, Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, or JFK would be looked upon with the same cynical view given the same circumstances. If it is the current administration that you are trying to defend I suggest you think about that. The People are so far against him that they are willing to accuse him of the genocide of his own people.

However, I have not been throughly convinced that our government would construct a scheme as grand as the plot organized on 9/11. Quite frankly there is no one in power right now smart enough or creative enough to make 9/11 a reality.

But the fact remains that this administration, this current government, allowed the biggest lapse in security since the War of 1812. Yet they remained in power after failing us miserably.

What is worse is possiblity that 9/11 may have been allowed to happen for whatever political gain. If you think they are not capable of placing the American people in harms way for the sake of an agenda, I suggest you let the record speak for its self.

1) The border is a huge concern yet they will not close it.
2) We still don't know exactly why Bush fought so hard to get our ports turned over to the U.A.E.
3) Instead of using the enertia of 9/11 to rewrite the nation's energy policy inorder to truly prevent this from happening again he went to war with Iraq placing our people in even greater danger and still having yet to give an acceptable reason for the invasion he simply keeps changing the mission.

Was there an internal conspiracy?

It's improbable... but not impossible.

There are some people out there who hate George W. Bush SO Much, that they will buy into any thing about the man that makes him look bad. These "Kool-Aid" drinkers are open to any conspiracy theory as long as it belittles the president. A conspiracy this large would take 10's of thousands of people to cover it up, and people being people, this would be impossible. Don't you think if there were one iota of "evidence" implicating the president, the New York Times would be all over it. Not even Howard Dean will touch this with a 10 foot poll. Personally, I believe these people are kooks at the best, and dangerous at the worst. People like Ward Churchill, who misuses his position as a professor at a major University like C.U. should be investigated. I think his actions border on treason, and it irritates me that my tax money is used to pay his salary so he can spout off mindless and senseless theories without even a shred of proof. Unfortunately, this is the norm at our colleges and universities. Don't look now... but the 60's are back.

The story just doesn't make sense. I've read the 9/11 Commission Report and I've read much on the opposing side. I have no solid theory, I just believe that the "official" story is not the whole story. I seriously doubt you will settle this "once and for ALL." People still talk of a JFK conspiracy decades later...

2006-10-20 06:50:04 · answer #6 · answered by MishMash [I am not one of your fans] 7 · 1 0

It was a conspiracy by Al-Qaeda. Beyond them, nobody know if there were other co-conspirators. You are not going to settle it and it won't be settled ever-- JFK conspiracies still are around.

People think the gov had a hand in it because there are many unanswered questions, alot of things that seem fishy, past events that were similar (e.g. pearl harbor, bombing of the ship before Spanish-am war), coincidental events like the exercises which were simulating exactly what was happening on that day.

Arrogance. People just want to blame anyone for this and there's a lot of Bush basher out there. It seems as if Bush is responsible for everything.

If conspiracy beleivers think that it's so dangerous to live here in America, and American's plan to fly planes into buildings and kill many innocent civilians, then why are you still here???? Wouldn't it be safer in another country??

Congratulations and good luck on your on going battle with cancer.

Proof and Facts is what I most like to work with. Most everything that I will show you can and may be used in a court of law someday. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email me.

Most all the evidence that is available to us, show that the WTC buildings were rigged with explosives. Our own government had motive as was well as an opportunity to do this crime. Here is the evidence, presented for your scrutiny.

FAKE CONFESSION
The official government story is that the 9/11 attack was orchestrated by Al Qaeda, which is lead by Osama bin Laden. The proof our government provided was a video with Osama confessing to the crime. The problem with the video is that the person in the video does not look like Osama bin Laden: See picture.

EVIDENCE
There are many other factors that do not fit the official story. They include, secondary explosions that were seen, heard, reported, and recorded by firefighters, in and around the WTC buildings.

Here is a video clip showing a trail of explosions just before the destruction wave.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_DkzhonpGY&mode=related&search=

Molten, beyond red hot, "steel" was video recorded coming out of the South Tower just before it collapsed. Jet fuel does not burn hot enough to turn steel to liquid.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ExrVgioIXvk&search=thermite

A chemical analysis of the solidified molten iron, conducted by independent firms, yielded an explosive, called Thermite. Also found was a WTC core beam; most probably cut using the demolition cutting charge (Thermate). No core beams were left standing beyond a few feet high, for it to have been cut by an Iron Workers torch. Click on pic. to enlarge.

CONFESSION
We also have a video recording, where owner Larry Silverstein, admits to demolishing WTC7.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7750532340306101329

TESTIMONY
There is also a problem with the Pentagon attack. Listen to this retired general, He says, "The Plane does not fit the hole."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2VoUN-7RVU&eurl=

MOTIVE
The New Conservatives (Neo-Cons), with the help of their friends, started planning the invasion of Iraq, shortly after Pres. Bush took office. Apparently, the plan would include the attack of the WTC buildings. It did this to get the support of congress and the nation, to attack Iraq. Read it from their own PENAC document. Pay special attention to the section entitled "Creating Tomorrow's Dominant Force" page 50 and the top of page 51, where it states we need a new Pearl Harbor attack to get the ball rolling.
http://www.newamericancentury.org/RebuildingAmericasDefenses.pdf

OPPORTUNITY
Witnesses saw a work crew going into the WTC buildings with rolls of wire, supposedly for internet upgrades. Tenants were moved around while crews "upgraded" the cable systems. The Port Authority cut power to the building for a whole weekend, just prior to the attack; shutting down the entire security systems. Witnesses also heard crews operating heavy hammering equipment that left a gray cement like dust, in the building. This activity took place just weeks before the 911 attack: The Port Authority had released control of the buildings to Larry Silverstein, six weeks prior to the attack: He made $7 billion off of the attack.

Cuz you can't make sense when you witness senseless
acts of terrorism...especially when it is on our own turf and not in somebody else's backyard....generally when we don't like what we see on tv, we can just change the channel, however even if we shut the tv off, it is still in our backyard and it's not pretend anymore. People want answers but they don't like the answer they are getting so they have to make up something..I guess

These people are like religious fanatics who say there is no such thing as evolution. They can't let go of there dogma even though the evidence is all against them. Thus I don't respond to them as I believe the theorist on this site do this just to rattle your cage and not to actually push an idea they believe in.
