ok. My family thinks i am anorexic because i went from around 125 to 98 pounds last year. I heard that anorexics think they are fat even though they are supper thin. I do not see myself as fat i just h want to maintain a reasonable weight. But anyway my family have been on my a** to gain weight they told me that I was starting to look unhealthy so i have gained up to 115. But now I'm starting not to like the way my body looks with the weight coming back on. My family thinks i need to see someone before this gets out of controll. IS this really anorexia like my family is accusing me of?

I wouldn't rely on answers from yahoo for this question. It affects your health and so should be taken very seriously. You need a professional diagnosis. You might not be anorexic yet but you might be heading there. Or you might be perfectly healthy. Either way, I would recommend going to a councillor anyway, just cos its actually quite a rewarding thing to do if the councillor is any good. I went to a psycologist a few times even though nothing was wrong and I actually learnt quite a lot about myself. I don't think anyone should have any doubts about going. Good luck and Im sure u will work everything out if you are concerned from this early on. The 1st step to treating a problem (or potential problem) is acknowledging it.

You do have a problem Unless you are under 4'6" then you should never weigh less than 100 lbs. When I lost a lot of weight and finally started putting it back on it did feel weirde and heavy. After 6 months of the healthy weight I feel wonderful and actually can tell when I've gone to skinny and I hate it. I like having a bit of ti.ts and a.ss.

What is the ideal weight for your height and go from there and get real. YOU will kill yourself if you are too thin and if being thin makes you feel in control then you are anorexic (mentally atleast) and it will only get worse.

This is a symptom, maybe its time to find out what the problem is.

Anorexia is when you are less than your ideal body weight (IBW). This is dependent on your height, age and bone structure. Unless you are under 60 inches (5 ft in height) 98 lbs is too thin for you.
If the joints of your hips are sticking out, and you lose the fat pads of your buttocks, below your eyes, and on your cheeks, you are anorexic.
Anorexics typically do not see themselves as thin, and starve themselves as a control issue in their lives. If you have stopped menstruating, that is also a sign of anorexia, as you need at least a 10% body fat composition to make enough estrogen.
If your family sees you as too thin, likely you are too thin, and need help.
Anorexia is deadly. It is a form of body image dystrophic disorder and is a psychiatric condition.

Its only anorexia if you go to extreme lengths to NOT gain weight. Like not eating at all, or eating 200 calories a day. 115 is an avg weight depending on your heighth. If you are worried about how your body looks at 115, start working out to stay lean. I've been working out regularly for about 2 months, and not only do i feel great, I look great. So give it a shot. Good luck

IF your not eating at least 3 meals a day than you are anorexic. You need to eat correctly in order to gain the weight and excercise moderately so the weight you are gaining looks good on you. I would recommend you see a therapist.

I think you're not totally anorexic yet, but you are in grave danger of becoming one. Anorexics get obsessed about their weight, and they have a wrong perception of what the "reasonable weight" is. Do you think about your weight and food all the time? Then that is definitely one flagging sign that you may become anorexic.

A healthy girl needs to be atleast 145lbs. Anything less is depriving your body of what it needs. The human body is a engine that literally requires fuel, anytrhing less is killing yourself.

Unfortunately anorexics usually have a mental illness not allowing them to see from the outside how they appear, and what they uare doing. Acknoweleging you might have it is a good first step, so accept any help recomended or offered.
