omg...we waited like an hour and a half between giving our order and seeing a waitperson again...the manager finally came over and asked if we'd been served, and when we said not yet (she could tell we were po'd) she said, who was your server, and we told her and she said, Oh, he got in a fight in the back and was fired-sent home! So she took our order (again)...and forty minutes later, we FINALLY had food. You'd think they had to kill the lettuce themselves for that chef salad! And NO ONE seemed to think there was any reason to apologize. My husband went to the desk to pay, and told them what had happened, and we talked to another manager - seems the first one had gone home (too) ... and we got a VERY small discount off our food. Haven't been back for a loooooooong time, either!

Every restaurant that I have ever served in our greet time was supposed to be 30 seconds to a minute. I say if you are not greeted within 3 minutes(maybe 5 if super busy), you should ask a server walking past or go back to the host and ask for service. It's possible that you got sat in a section without a server or you just got a really bad server that doesn't know the rotation or doesn't check their section often enough. 10 minutes was definitely a long wait time! I would have gotten up and left as well.

About 10 minutes on a good night and 20 on a busy night.
we ahve never waited long at all once being seated, someone usually comes quickly to take our drink orders as well as our food orders.
However in the past year we have only been abotu 3 times, since its about a 30 minute drive from wehre we live.
This Cracker Barrel location is in Manassas VA.

About 45 minutes. It was my first and last visit to a Cracker Barrell. I don't think they discriminate- they ignore all people equally. The food wasn't that great, either.
