Did you copy the equations correctly? The third one is not consistent with the others. If we ignore the third equation, then x = 2 and y = 4.

Take equation #1 and multiply it by −8. Then take the result and add it to equation #4. The y's cancel out and you have 4x = 8. This gives you the value of x. From this you can get y. Or you can use equation #2, where the x is multiplied by zero and may be omitted, and you get the value of y.

But if equation #3 is included as is, then none of that works because eq #3 says that x = 20.

The answers are all wrong.
