What was the name of the street in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, that the Hotel Metroplitan was in?

If possible could you tell me the name this street had before Tanzanian Independence in 1961; and after Tananzanian Independence from the U.K. Many thanks

If you could give a little bit of detail about any building or offices that were close by I could tell you which street. Dar es Salaam has really changed a lot but a lot of the old buildings are being preserved for historical reasons. If you could say if was at the water front (near the habours) or the next street after the habours or how many streets and in what direction its quite easy pinpointing the name of the street and tell you what building is now in its place.
A few street names have changed since independence otherwise many of the city centre street names are still the same.
