it would be great - imagine all the fun it could be.

They'd laugh and cry and make love. They'd write poetry and invent machines. They'd paint and sculpt and sing opera that'd make you weep. Just like we do now only the wonder would go on for 900 more years.
They'd have the possibility of seeing 365241 sunrises and 365241 sunsets. They'd get to see the seasons change four thousand times. They'd fall in love with their great-great-great-great-great-grandchildren and marry them because it's OK. If they were particularly lucky they'd reach 980 before suffering their parents' deaths. They'd get to travel the world time after time and it'd be new with the changes made by years. They'd get to see the rise and fall of countries and the progress of technology. They'd have the time to stop and wonder, "hey, what is life anyway?" instead of rushing about trying to have babies raise them and earn a retirement savings inside a 70 years.
Oh, and as an aside - why do so many people equate extreme longevity with the frailties of old age? A frail, sickly body wouldn't last a thousand years, only a strong healthy one would.

The Earth would get REALLY crowded.
Social security would run out.
There would be some really well read people like the Earth had never seen. Also, amazing musicians. Good storytellers too. Also, TV would have to become more interesting or nobody would watch after the first 100 years. Lots of experts of all kinds. No wars probably too. People would be around who remember how bad they are and how useless mostly.

I imagine that people would be accustomed to living that long, so it would seem like a normal lifetime. Time is very subjective. Remember when you were a child and it seemed an eternity from one Christmas to the next. But days didn't seem any longer than they do now. That's my experience. Also sometimes a week can just fly past, but when you think back to what you were doing a week earlier it seems a lot longer. That's weird, or maybe it's just me.

We'd become over-populated, run out of resources, have food shortages, and have to burn each other for fuel, and eat each other.
And having that many people polluting the world would resort in the ozone layer breaking down completely, and the world would end.

Think how proud a guy would be to get a date with a 90 year old gal.

Please don't wish that on anybody. The seventy or eighty years that the oldies reach is bad enough. Life is a tough struggle for most everybody. To multiply that twelve or thirteen times would be too hard to think about. Don't you think we deserve a break ?

It would only be good if we could stop aging like vampires. I would love to have a child hood that lasted 100 years, and an adult life that last 900. But being a senior citizen for 940 years? no thanks.

Well, I only know "this" for certain. You can bet your sweet bippy there would be a heck of a lot more face lifts, boob jobs, and butt tucks! And I do mean it would really be "tucked"! So I guess womens breasts would be on their backside, and they would have to move their navel to put lipstick on! HAHAHA! What a concept!
