Because my phone was always dropping calls and roaming Cingualr dropped me without having to pay a cancellation fee. But, I had just bought a $200.00 phone and had to switch they should buy used phones back if that's the case and pay for other services of changing to another carrier. Few Drop Calls yeah right a lot dropped customers!! Cingular sucks.

I have never had any of these problems with my cell and I have been with Cingular for 11 yrs now and have never thought of leaving. Everyone I know is on Cingular and they don't have any problems either, maybe it's just the area you are in.

They are going to drop me if I don't upgrade. They say i have an analog phone and it cost them to manage my account. Right now they are charging me an extra $4.95 per month. But that'sokay i have lots of other companies I can choose from and I am doing so now! Bye Bye Cingular!

I know someone who was having this problem, the calls would drop after about ten minutes of talking. The customer service rep said he needed to shut his phone down for at least 20 minutes every day and recharge it. Apparently, when you power it back up, it downloads something. This worked and it quit dropping calls.
