My MD told me his head is far down into the pelvis and he is a little larger than he is suppose to be. I do feel him every so often just not like I use to. I have gone to the hosp twice already the l;ast week because of my concerns. Each time he is fine. I just want to know if decreased movement at this point in the pregnancy is normal.

Well, he is getting bigger every day, so he is running out of room to move it. It's normal, don't worry.

Decreased movement of the fetus is completely normal for you at this time. When the baby is getting ready to come into the world (Yes, any day now!), the baby shows much less movement than normal. Just relax so you do not get stressed and everything will run smoothly. Good luck, and Congrats!

Toward the end of pregnancy your babys movement will slow down as there is not a whole lot of room for your baby to move.I too was worried when I was pregant with my 10 month old when I did not feel her move much.I am sure you have nothing to worry about especially if your docter has said every thing is okay and if you have been to the hospital twice and they say every thing is okay then Iwould not worry.

Absolutely normal.

He is saving his energy for birth and he is running out of room to move. Babies turn head down and the head gets into position and they really just ball up into the fetal position and get ready. He'll still move once and awhile but you have to remember, you are used to his movements so the little things you won't feel as much. You are not as sensitive to the movements as your uterus is at full capacity with baby, placenta and amniotic fluid.

Anytime you worry drink a glass of juice. Within about 1/2 hour you should feel at least one movement to make you feel better.

Your fears are completely valid and normal too! :)

By 37 weeks your uterus is very cramped quarters for a nearly full-term fetus, so feeling less movement can be common.

To make sure everything is fine, your healthcare provider should recommend you do a regular kick count. Usually twice a day you should notate how long it takes to feel 10 movements. If it takes longer than 2 hours, you should let your healthcare provider know.

I think it is normal towards the end cause the baby is so big and he is in such a small area, as long as everything checked out good with the heartbeat and all I wouldnt worry, but if you go a couple of hours and dont feel anything then I would get to the hospital.

This is normal... babies do tend to slow down towards the end of pregnancy as they haven't nearly as much room to maneuver as before. It's good though that you feel comfortable to address your concerns with your doctor. If ever you feel the need to have any fears alleviated just continue to stay in touch with your ob/gyn.

Best wishes! And congratulations on the forthcoming arrival of your little one!

GLAD you asked, because I was SO concerned about my baby when this happened to me. Yes, it is normal. The baby can't move around as much because he or she is larger. I wish someone had told me, because I was in the same boat as you. I really missed all the moving and kicking! Good luck to you!

From here to delivery his movements will become fainter and fewer. Theres simply not enough room in there. Its perfectly normal.

If any 24 hour period goes by with no movement than you can recall you need to either throw on your fetal heart monitor, or call your doctor to do the same.

Yes because the baby does not have as much room to move around. As long as he is still moving he should be fine
