With any MS software, it's best to wait until at least the first set of patches comes out.

MS is notoriously buggy.

Haven't installed it myself and agree fully with Feeman's answer. Probably no risk there, if the virus aspect has been adequately taken care of. But a lot of possible glitches for sure. Yahoo has very recently, put up a new Beta version of its Mail which supposedly make things a lot simpler. Actual users say it is far from true and the earlier version was more comfortable to work with. So I'm in no hurry to download IE7.

No there is no risk in downloading IE 7. But if you are downloading it from Yahoo I must advise you that it will change you screen display to help Yahoo! run much faster & the buttons you see in IE 6 like back, forward, stop, refresh, & home will not be there. If you still want to download IE 7 please create a restore point before you start the download the program.
This way you can always restore your computer back to the way you had it before you installed the download if you don't like it.

Just do a search on Yahoo Answers for IE problems and you'll see. Ever since it has released people are having all sorts of weird problems.

Never install ANYTHING from Microsoft until it has been released as a final version for at least 6 months...maybe longer.

None, I just did, and I had tried Betas 1, 2 and Release Candidate 1.

I normally use FF, but right now I'm using the final version of IE7 and it's fine, time will tell.

Don't worry, go ahead and install it.

i wouldnt bother downloading it you will more likely run into problems like everyone else i see asking around, there are alot of people asking what to do, what wrong with this, why wont it open... etc, waste of time and i think it is still in the beta version so wait untill it is finished then download it.

I've heard it's still in Beta version....probably not any risk other than it's still unstable...I'd wait until it's tied to a windows operating system...then download it.
