A couple of days ago I noticed a couple of tiny red bumps on my vagina. I shave and it looks like an irratation from that but I just want advice. I mashed one of them and some stuff came out like maybe a black head or something? Anyone know what this could be?

I had a pap done in June and a colpo in August and nothing showed up so I don't think its a disease. I haven't had sex with anyone but the one person I've been with 2 years. They don't itch burn or anything. They are just there and are kinda flat.

It could just be irritation from shaving. The person who said it was herpes *might* be right, but herpes blisters do tend to itch or burn; if you're not having any discomfort from the bumps, herpes is not all that likely.

Even though you had a Pap and a colposcopy, you could still have an STD. Those tests only evaluate cells on your cervix and only monitor for the changes that indicate an increased risk of cervical cancer. They're not a screen for STDs.

Just because you have been with one partner for 2 years does not automatically make you safe, though. Many STDs can lay dormant, causing no symptoms at all or only causing symptoms long after infection. If your partner is not faithful you could be exposed to new infections. If you're troubled by the bumps you should see your doctor if only to rule out the scarier stuff.

It sounds like shaving irritation. But definitely keep an eye on it and if it doesn't clear up in a week or so go see your doctor. Treat it by washing with a mild soap, towel off, and dust with baby powder. And you might want to hold off on shaving very frequently. You could have super sensitive skin, like me, and just can't shave daily.

You have vaginal scallywags. They go to chafed areas that have been infected by the onion bug.

Wow, run into some savory women replying to a question like this. More personal experiences in detail please.

shave bumps. After shaving wash agaist the grain everday after with a loofah. Good for pits and tweezed chins also. The bumps should disappear by the end of the month if you are dilligent.

I get the same thing pretty much every time I shave my bikini line (which is why I don't generally shave any more than that.)

I'm not sure how it can be prevented, unfortunately.

They are hair follicles. I have them too, and last time I was at the doctor I asked him about that... he said they are follicles and at the time I had ONE really big bump and he said it was an ingrown hair from shaving. So Im sure your fine.

More than likely an ingrown hair. If not gone in a few days go to the doc.

That is probably the most disturbing question I have ever heard in the Polls and Surveys question section of Y/A.

Go to a doctor sweetheart.

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but you have herpes. Thats a big sign for it. You should really get checked out. And dont have sex with anyone. We dont want to spread it. Call all your partners and tell them. My bestfriend sister has it. That was exactly what she noticed and she went to the gyno and they told her she had herpes. SORRY HUN
