you could make a model for + and - lenses
Ther model is extremely easy : 1/f = 1/v + 1/b

build a force diagram.

Set up an Atwoods machine or something(glue it together so it does not move) Then put some strings and labels, and make those the force vectors.

It would be fun.

Its a bit awkward to design a model to demonstrate an aspect of physics if it cant move or do anything.
