Hi,
This is strange. If you didn't have a graphics card you wouldn't be able to use Windows, so this is definitely not the case.
It could be the case that the correct drivers for the card aren't installed, so have a look through the software you received with your laptop and check if there is a disk for your card.
The card may also show up in Device Manager as an unknown device, which means it hasn't been installed correctly for you.
Check out a utility called unknown devices available at : http://www.halfdone.com
It may help to id your adapter
It may also be that DirectX is not properly installed, however you unless you downloaded it you wouldn't have dxdiag on your laptop with out it. Check out http://update.microsoft.com this will run a check on your laptop for updates needed. If DirectX shows up as a possible update this could be a reason.
You can also download it from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads
To be honest, if you've just purchased the laptop you're quickest way round is to contact the shop and get them to fix it for you

To boost the graphics capability, an alternative to buying more ram might be possible if you have a laptop which uses an mxm interface for its graphics card. The mxm standard was launched with a fanfare of celebration by nvidia a couple of years ago, and was intended to make swapping laptop graphics as easy as upgrading your desktop card. Quite a few laptops use the standard, although if your card isn't detected its unlikely yours is one of them.
Still worth a look though, best done by asking the shop, and looking at www.mxm-upgrade.com for more info. Its not quite as straightforward as i might have made it seem, but not too hard.

Your laptop has the graphics chip on the motherboard maybe? Dxdiag is testing for the presence of Direct X...make sure you have the Direct X drivers installed.

obtainable, yet no longer likely... you may desire to evolve the pc photographs chip (on account that's a small chip no longer a card) to your own laptop's motherboard. Thats skill you may might desire to locate or build an adapter for the ability. The pc photographs chip makes use of a few distance much less power than a private laptop card. additionally, you may might desire to construct an interface between the photographs chip and the cpu, memory and different hardware. you ought to attempt and fasten it to a PCI board by some skill, alongside with a bunch of alternative stuff, yet then you definitely could might desire to write your own custom drivers for it. in short, except your an extremely bored and wickedly proficient electric powered engineer with money to burn, i could say merely pass purchase one.

They don't make laptops without graphics capability. The card it probably integrated into the motherboard.
That software just isn't detecting it. Doesn't mean it's not there.

Right click My Computer and select properties. Click the Hardware tab and then click Device manager. Look for Display adapter in the list. That is where you will find your video card.

Your card is working if you see this. Buy all the RAM you can, that's all you can do. I have the same problem, but maxing out the RAM helped a lot. Download everest from www.majorgeek.com and it will find your card for you.
