Your on to a loser -

1. Economically they can move forward quicker if they use environmentally friendly technology. Thereby catching up with the first world.

2. The environment itself is usually a generator of wealth from tourism.

3. They can use the need for stopping environmental damage as a way to get further monies from the developed world

4. Environmental impact always hurts the poorer countries more. ie a flood in America may kill six and unhouse hundreds the same flood in Africa would kill thousands and unhouse hundreds of thousands.

Your arguments would not really stand up as I can't think of anything that would stand against those four points.

Yes I agree with you...that will bring a quick end to Earth.

Good for a debate dude...but think about this,
What development at what cost...>>>?

If god gave me two option a) rich - ill health b) poor-healthy
I would prefer to get the healthy option.

We can develop even with the Environment, lets do it....no short term visions will help.
