Depends on your work. If you think that you are truly being discriminated against and have some kinda of proof or logical explanation I would take it up with the dean (if you're in college) or the principle (if you're not in college).

I had an issue like this my last semester in college...and I gathered a petition for other class members to sign because the teacher was making it very obvious he was discriminating against me. I also wrote a formal complaint letter and went through an appeal process. The academic board came in and changed my grade and the teacher lost a salary raise because of it (but he had tenor so he couldn't loose his job).

If you think that is to extreme then most likely you already know the problem isn't the professor...it's you and your work habits and product.

As far as your books you can just go rent them from your school library (most likely). I've been to multiple colleges and the text books are on reserve in the library...you just can't take them home.

Good Luck!

I would first suggest not lending your books to anyone else. As far as the professor not wanting to work with you... I would try bringing this up to the head person of the English department (almost making a complaint). If you work hard enough you can easily pull a D if not better. Work with other students in your class and ask for their help with assignments. If you're afraid of getting an F drop the class assuming you can take it next semester and you don't receive a W for dropping the class. Hope this helps.

Sometimes you just have tough luck with professors. It is obvious you already resorted talking to your professor. He will not be of much help. Write a letter! Words sometimes have a better effect if written.
Maybe you can redo some assignments to earn partial points back? Try getting help from your classmates. Do not get behind! Keep up to the best of your ability. It's not too late to get a tutor from the school. Good Luck!

most of the time teachers have kids who don't care spend some of your extra time with him talking about it and prove to him that you do
