this logic makes no sense. Pagans have been around since the beginning, but the books of the Bible were written by Jews. People who were Christians before Christ came were looking to the Messiah who will be coming, and the ones who were christians after Christ came were looking to the Messiah who came. None of these people were pagans. The Bible wasn't written by any pagans unless they were a pagan and then God changed them. As in Rahab the Harlot etc. - Everybody was a pagan at one time until God changed their life. The Apostle Paul was a pagan and in fact he put Christians in prison and all kinds of nasty stuff with great zeal - but God saved him, and He became a mighty witness for Jesus.

I am not sure you can say pagans wrote the bible...This history within and outside scripture indicates that the old testament scripture was written by those following the Jewish faith. The new testament was written by followers of Christ. Not that being said..History (outside the church) does indicate that many traditions and obviously holidays were indeed inspired by paganism. It would seem that the Churches made changes to these pagan celebrations to suddenly "create" Christian celebrations. But most churches don't want to talk about that.
I have met many Christians who are very aware of these facts and refuse to celebrate Christmas among other holidays.

Christians wrote the New Testament, and most of them were also Jews, at least by nationality and race. Jews wrote most, if not all of the Old Testament. Some of it they seem to have borrowed from pagan Babylon, or so I hear.

I don't know who said that it was a Christian who wrote the Bible, but they would be partially incorrect. God communicated to various people of various backgrounds, and the earliest Old Testament books predate the birth of Christ by hundreds of years. I think that all of the New Testament writers were Christians. Even the apostle Paul was a persecutor of Christians before his conversion, and he wrote most of the New Testament.

Your inclusion of the question in "Mythology & Folklore" is cute, if not exactly correct.

The old testament was written by the ancient Jews.

The new testament was written by Christians, as christianity was established in 1 AD.

Some would argue that the current text of the old testament has been revised so much by Christians in the previous 2006 years that it could also be classed as being a work of christians, based on ancient techings and prophecies that predated them.

Pagans only pre-date christians in certain parts of the world, and was violently replaced as christians "taught" the world.

No one ever claimed that a Christian wrote the Bible. Besides the Holy Bible is composed of many books.

Faith in God, pre-dates any belief or non belief.

Adam and Eve....

pagans don't predate biblical principal! The first people alive were adam and eve...not pagans. I don't understand why people are so critical of Jesus and the Bible...Christianity is one of the only religions that people outright hate on....whereas Buddhists and Taoists and atheists are not condemned by man for what they believe.
