Killing another being is deemed to be one of the biggest sins ever, and eventually it would get you to hell, but how about if you killed all the evil people, who hurt many others and contenuie doing so; kind of like from that move "Bondock saints". I mean you know you are going to hell but you are sacrificing your self to save others? 2 negatives = a positive kind a deal??? yes or no

Killing for the greater good, huh? Well, it does get rid of the bad people, but think what it would do to you. It would make you a killer! The more you kill, the easier it will be, so eventually, who do you kill? A litterer? Someone who cut you off in traffic? What if even a really bad person had some redeeming quality, and maybe eventually they would have turned their life around and become a good person who helps humanity?
Your idea might seem noble to you, but it's really not. Sorry!

Number one, i have no beleif in heaven or hell or what not, so i have no fears of afterlife punishments. I would do so, on the basis that there was a preset guidelines, basically like the capital punishment thing. Also, if there was more than a good reason for it (i.e., someone raping your girlfriend and you walk in while he trys to slit her throat..seems good enough to me). But as to sacrificing myself to save others, i would do so willingly if i feel that it will be worth it. I wont go out and run into a burning building to pull out a crack whore who just torched it dropping the candle for her spoon, but ill do it for someone that has a chance of being someone and was just caught in the wrong spot at the wrong time.

Eeee Gads! Does this reek of vigilante justice or what? Where is hell? What is hell? Why would I know I am going there? Is hell truly the grave, merely a hole in the ground where one goes when they die? If I am to consider your idea of hell, then I must say it is something to consider! I can't see me killing another living soul, unless it was to save my own life. I can see no other reason that I would harm anyone, except in protecting my own life. If one does believe in God, and believes that a hell really does exist outside ones' own mind, then why not sit back and live your life peacefully, read the bible in Revelation and realize that God is going to do the killing or have it done by his angels and then let him/her sort it out!

Ohhhhhhhh....nice question. Is going to hell for the murder of those who kill others concidered self-sacrifice because you know that you will go to hell? In a broader sense, is doing the right thing also wrong? I would say that if it is then I don't want to be right, but that would make me wrong, so then evil in doing the right thing. Wow, great paradox. I don't yet have a good answer, I'll ponder that for the rest of the day. Thanks.

The Bible The Bible requires the death penalty for a wide variety of crimes, including sex before marriage, adultery, homosexual behavior, doing work on Saturday and murder. It even calls for some criminals (e.g. prostitutes who are the daughters of priests) to be tortured to death by being burned alive. Most Christians, with the exception of those in the Reconstructionist movement, feel that many of these grounds for the death penalty no longer apply to Christian societies. U.S. However, Bible passages are still used to promote the retention of capital punishment for murderers; some advocate that homosexuals also be executed.
Justice/Vengeance Many people feel that killing convicted murderers will satisfy their need for justice and/or vengeance. They feel that certain crimes are so heinous that executing the criminal is the only reasonable response.
Deterrence Many people feel that the death penalty will deter criminals from killing. This does not seem to be confirmed by an analysis of the available data. However, it feels intuitively correct for many people. 1 to 6
Value of human life: "It is by exacting the highest penalty for the taking of human life that we affirm the highest value of human life." (Edward Koch).
Cost: Once a convicted murder is executed and buried, there are no further maintenance costs to the state. This appears to be invalid; the cost to the state paying for multiple appeals is greater than the cost of imprisoning an inmate.
Public safety: Once a convicted murderer is executed, there is no chance that he will break out of jail and kill or injure someone.

The only problem is that the person doing the killings would get some fame, from being the guy who saved earth.
If he did it and got nothing out of it in return than that would be the ultimate.

In order to rid the earth of all the evil people, you'd have to kill everyone. A person being "evil" is really just a matter of opinion. Sorry.

Were I to discover that I had terminal cancer, no hope whatsoever, I would go on a killing streak, and return all those deserving back to the earth. Life is a privilege.

What is your criteria for an evil person? Not everyone will agree with your definition. So while your idea sounds good in theory, it would not be so great in practice!
